Converting Windows OEM speaker tuning to Linux

Your laptop speakers sound horrible on Linux but decent on Windows? I’ve used Debian as my primary OS for the past 23 years, and this has always bugged me. I unfortunately do not have any audio engineering skills, so I never could fix this myself. Earlier this year I decided to give it a try with Claude Code. The speaker-tuning-to-easyeffects project now has more than 50 confirmed laptop models on which users reported improved audio.

Building a Cross Platform Digital Multimeter App

How I implemented digital multimeter protocols using Claude Code assisted research and development … without access to hardware.

Backstory

While prototyping a battery powered e-paper thermometer back in 2021, I was looking for a means to evaluate power consumption through various power states. Initial research led me to purchase UNI-T’s UT61E+ digital multimeter as it came with a USB logging interface. UNI-T provided a Windows application which worked but required me to switch OS to use … a bit inconvenient.
